FAQ

How do binge sessions work?

Binge sessions are the perfect fit for people who are comfortable in front of the camera, and have a wide variety of looks they are hoping to achieve on a budget. How they work - once you arrive we will look through your wardrobe, chat a bit about each of your looks, plan out the order in which we will go and select backdrops. Once we have everything planned, the timer starts and does not stop again until the 10, 30 or 60 minutes are up! In a 10 minute session, we typically accomplish between 1-2 looks; in a 30 minute session, typically 4-6; and in a 60 minute session between 6-8 (I've gotten as many as 10 though, so always best to come prepared!).

What is a "look"?

A look is a combination or hair, makeup, clothing and personality that encompasses a character or type of characters you would like to play and book as an actor. Whether you are totally certain on your looks before booking, or totally unsure, we will work together to make sure we get the best group of looks for you as an actor together and nail them on shoot day!

How do I decide on wardrobe?

I have some general guidelines that I send to my clients after they book, but the most important thing about clothing when it comes to headshots is that you feel GOOD in them! I like to be involved in the wardrobe process, and help clients put together full looks that make them look and feel good, but also will get them booked in the roles they want to play!

Whats the deal with hair and makeup?

While I always think it is a great idea to hire a professional hair and makeup artist, I do have a few recommendations in the event you decide to do your own. An elevated natural look is always a safe bet - staying true to the hair and makeup you do on a daily basis, but the cleanest version of it! For makeup, full coverage, some color to the cheeks, mascara, a lip color and a GOOD finishing spray / translucent powder can go a long way! If you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out!

When will I get my photos?

I typically ask for 5 business days for clients to received a full gallery of all of their session photos. From there, once a client selects their favorites to be retouched, I require an additional 15-20 business days working time.

How do I book?

The first step is to shoot me a message! Introduce yourself, let me know what you are looking for out of a session and then we can get grooving! I require a $100, non refundable deposit to hold your session date, which is applied to your total session fee.

How far in advance do you book?

I am currently booking about one month out for Los Angeles, and two to three months out for Philadelphia. If you are in a bind for time, I do have a cancellation list, or at times can accommodate an after hours session for an additional fee.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the event that you decide to cancel your session, your deposit is non refundable. I require 72 hours notice for rescheduling sessions, without penalty. If you need to reschedule within 72 hours of your session, you will be charged a rescheduling fee of $50 (deducted from your deposit). If you cancel within 24 hours, your full deposit will be forfeited.

What is your no show policy?

If you do not show up to your session, with the exclusion of true emergencies, your deposit will not be refunded and you will not be able to reschedule.

Can I bring someone to my shoot?

While I encourage clients to come alone, you are welcome to bring one additional person to your session. The reason I encourage solo shoots is because often times, having friends or loved ones around can hold clients back from truly experimenting and getting into character. If you feel this is not the case, and they will help you in your session, bring them along!
