My name is Nicole Souza (she/her) and I am a photographer based in Philadelphia - hello!


You've ended up on my page presumably because you would like to have some photos taken. Woohoo! I love taking photos! I am so glad you are considering working with me on your next photo worthy experience and hope we get the opportunity to make some magic.

I am a Philadelphia based, New York made photographer, cat & pup mom (see below) and writer. I have been doing portrait photography for a few years now and more recently have branched out into engagement, fashion, lifestyle and wedding photography. I love photography because it gives you the opportunity to capture something beautiful. A first kiss, a new baby, this months hot fashion trend or an actors newest character - all are equally as exciting for me.


The relationship between a photographer and their subject is a treasured one. There must be comfort, trust and an aligned vision. I ensure all of my clients feel these things before moving forward to the big day.

Through my offerings, I strive to make a package available to everyone. I am able to keep prices lower than most professional headshot photographers in the industry by shooting from my home studio in Brewerytown! In a home setting, people find it easier to relax, unwind, have some fun and really be themselves! Plus I always have a fridge full of seltzers and groovy tunes playing. While I don't make it a requirement, hair and makeup are essential in any headshot session. You want to look your absolute best, but also maintain your personality and true self. An experienced hair and makeup artist can help us achieve just that!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a "LOOK"?

    • A look is a combination or hair, makeup, clothing and personality that encompasses a character or type of characters you would like to play and book as an actor. Whether you are totally certain on your looks before booking, or totally unsure, we will work together to make sure we get the best group of looks for you as an actor together and nail them on shoot day!​

  • How do I decide on my wardrobe?

    • I have some general guidelines that I send to my clients after they book, but the most important thing about clothing when it comes to headshots is that you feel GOOD in them! I like to be involved in the wardrobe process, and help clients put together full looks that make them look and feel good, but also will get them booked in the roles they want to play!​

  • How long will it take to get my photos?

    • I typically ask for 5 business days for clients to received a full gallery of all of their session photos. From there, once a client selects their favorites to be retouched, I require an additional 3-5 business days working time. ​

  • How do I book?

    • The first step is to shoot me a message! Introduce yourself, let me know what you are looking for out of a session and then we can get grooving! I require a $100, non refundable deposit to hold your session date, which is applied to your total session fee.​

  • How far in advanced do you book?

    • I typically booked 4-5 weeks out, but if you are in a bind for time, let me know and we can try and figure something out!​

  • Do you do reshoots?

    • Throughout our session, I will show you sample photos to ensure you are totally satisfied with your photos!​ I encourage you to speak up and let me know if you want to change anything (I have thick skin, I promise!) so we can make certain you are satisfied day of. In the event that we experience any technical difficulties with the photos, we will 100% schedule a reshoot and fully accommodate you! (although this has yet to happen!)

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • In the event that you decide to cancel your appointment, your deposit is non refundable. I require 72 hours notice for rescheduling sessions, without penalty. If you need to reschedule within 72 hours of your session, you will be charged a rescheduling fee of $50 (deducted from your deposit). 


  • What is your no show policy?

    • If you do not show up to your session, with the exclusion of true emergencies, your deposit will not be refunded and you will not be able to reschedule. ​

  • Can I bring a friend to my shoot?

    • While I encourage clients to come alone, you are welcome to bring one additional person to your session​. The reason I encourage solo shoots is because often times, having friends or loved ones around can hold clients back from truly experimenting and getting into character. If you feel this is not the case, and they will help you in your session, bring them along! 

  • What are your COVID-19 precautions?

    • Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I have taken several additional precautions to ensure both of our safety. As of April 10th I am fully vaccinated. I continue to wear a mask for the full duration of our shoot as well. ​Between clients, I sanitize all high touch surfaces. Please reach out if you have any additional questions!
